Manchester to Liverpool ride for National Library for the Blind

Sunday 18 June, The Manchester to Liverpool Bike Ride

The National Library for the Blind, in Stockport are looking for energetic individuals interested in taking part in fundraising cycling events to help raise much-needed money.

This 46 mile route starts in Salford Quays, taking you alongside part of the Manchester Ship Canal towards Liverpool and the Mersey, which you will reach by travelling down the famous Penny Lane. The route will finish in Stanley Park, Liverpool. The route is flat, mostly traffic-free and uses a large section of the Trans-Pennine Trail, making it ideal for cycling.

Entry fee is £12.50

Sunday 9th July, Tatton Park

After the success of last year’s Get on your Bike campaign, which raised over £18,000 for Cancer Research UK, the event is back and even bigger for 2006. This year we aim to raise over £25,000. The bike ride takes place over 16 miles in the idyllic setting of Tatton Park and the surrounding Cheshire countryside. All ages are welcome to take part in what promises to be a beautiful, enjoyable and hopefully successful day.

The bike ride will take place on Sunday 9 July, starting at 11am, and will make a great day out for friends and family.
