Metrolink in Oldham town centre – Consultation:  on minor modifications to existing powers to operate Metrolink in the Mumps area

Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM), in partnership with Oldham Council, have developed the proposals for Metrolink in the Oldham Mumps area. Planning permission was secured earlier this year and construction is now underway in the area.

TfGM is seeking the views of cyclists on a related matter – minor modifications to the existing statutory powers to operate Metrolink on sections of the tracks in the Oldham Mumps area.

TfGM  is now holding a Consultation until 3 October 2011  asking for people to give their views on the plans for new powers.

A consultation brochure provides you with information to allow you to comment on the proposed modifications to existing powers to operate over the sections of the Metrolink tracks in this area. Download the consultation brochure on www.tfgm.com

As part of the consultation process TfGM will be running two public events at the Oldham Library where the project team will be on hand to answer questions and provide more information. These events are on

  •  Saturday 30 July between 10am – 5.30pm: and
  • Wednesday 14 September between 3pm – 7pm.
