Sustainable Communities Bill

Ruth Kelly, MP for Bolton West is to decide whether the Sustainable Communities Bill, supported by the CTC and many other goodly organisations, becomes law. She has been invited to a Public Meeting on 30th March 2007 at the Reebok Stadium in Bolton.

Irlam Lock goes missing

This is Irlam Lock, a very convenient passage for walkers and cyclists who want to cross the Manchester Ship Canal between Salford and Trafford.

Unfortunately, like the Gorsey Bank Bridge, Irlam Lock hasn’t made it onto the council produced CycleGM maps.

Why this is we don’t know, and the omissions don’t end here… (to be continued).

Cheltenham cycle planning conference

GMCC attended the annual CTC conference in November in the genteel surroundings of Edwardian Cheltenham. Over a 100 cyclists from around the country attended the event to hear the latest in cycling policy, planning and campaigning.
Featured at the conference was a new function on the CTC website to report potholes [...]
