The last Friday of August will see the latest in our series of sociable, fun, leisurely and law-abiding critical commutes into central Manchester.

We linked up with Manchester Friends of the Earth to meet some of Manchester City Council. We let them know who we are and who does what at GMCC.

GMCC regularly monitors council plans. This month Dick Venes looked at ten Traffic Management Unit schemes presented by Manchester City Council.

Dick Venes went to Manchester City Council’s TIF-bid seminar and raised the issue of bikes on Metrolink

Trafford have been less than helpful over the enforcement of bus lanes.

GMCC are holding cycle commuting rides into Albert Square (Wednesday St Peter’s Square) on all five weekday mornings of Bike Week. These will be like the regular last Friday of the month rides we organise with Manchester Friends of the Earth/LoveYourBike.
