Cycle demo towns: NOT Manchester!
Manchester put in a bid to become a cycle demonstration city, but didn’t win. However, as there were some positive elements to the bid, we will be encouraging them not to chuck it in the bin, but to use the bid as the basis for something greater and better, possibly linking in with the TIF proposals outlined above.
