The front page of yesterday’s Independent shows just why Manchester’s Our Future Transport proposals are so important.
Some time ago we pointed out that when it came to leaving the car at home, public transport in Manchester currently offers much less value for money, and the only economic alternative to driving is to travel on two wheels.
But for some reason Our Future Transport says almost nothing about bicycles. So we’ve sent in our response to the OFT consultation with some specifc proposals to make cycling very much part of Greater Manchester’s future.
